Fun for Friday: Saturday Morning Watchmen

If you move in the same movie and pop culture blog circles as me, you'll probably have seen this piece of creative genius by now. Basically, its makers have imagined what Watchmen the graphic novel for mature readers, would have been like if it was a kid-friendly Saturday morning cartoon. Alas, I think a hefty percentage of the film's audience went into the cinema expecting something like this too...

Saw this the other day and found it highly entertaining. :)

Like you said, a large percentage of the initial audience went in thinking this was what the movie was like. Apparently, the "R" rating (here in the States...sorry, not familiar with the rating systems outside of 'Merica) didn't tell people that this wasn't the same thing as the X-Men.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Mjenks, Watchmen landed a No Under 16 age restriction in South Africa (basically our equivalent of an "R"). Thing is, I don't know how strongly the rating has even been enforced here. People seem to have this mindset that all superheroes and cartoons are designed for and safe for kids... when if they bothered to inform themselves they'd discover this is actually very far from the truth. Morons!
