Gaming glory for Friday

Oh. My. I've been tracking the development of Assassin's Creed, the latest project from the same team behind one of my favourite ever game series: Prince of Persia. This time expect acrobatic combat (and free roaming) in 12th Century Jerusalem, in the midst of the Crusades.

The Wiki plot:

Assassin's Creed is a video game being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, set for release in 2007. The game takes place during the Third Crusade, in the year 1191. The player assumes the role of Altaïr (الطائر, Arabic, "The flying" eagle), a member of the assassin sect Hashshashin, whose objective is to assassinate the nine historical figures who are propagating the Crusades. As the player finds and kills these targets, their conspiracy is unveiled. The player will be able to travel through three cities, Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus.

Anyway, this trailer is truly a thing of beauty!

The game is set for release this year, on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. I really, really hope my rig an cope with it!
