Weekend Plans

Well, there is only one set-in-stone activity for this weekend and that’s CASINO ROYALE! Once again, Paul and I are watching the Saturday morning first screening of the day. So, if you aren’t a lazy ass, you’ll find us at Musgrave Ster Kinekor at 9:30. We haven’t seen anyone for ages, so please come along and join us for the latest Bond extravaganza.

Anyway, after seeing the trailer so many times, Paul and I have become addicted to that fantastic rock/choral remix of the 007 theme. Scrounging around on the Internet, I found the mp3 to download right here. Enjoy.

Other than that, this weekend I want to try and come to grips with Sid Meier’s Railroads (I’m totally clueless when it comes to management sims), finish off my Christmas shopping, make a photo collage of my cousin, and maybe catch some sun while reading out in the garden. Although, it looks like we’re heading into yet another weekend cold front. Hmph, at least that’s weather appropriate for the cleaning of Paul’s horrifically messy study.

More boyfriend messy room cleaning! You're a very nice G-F. But if they want you to spend time in a room, they must make sure it's in an acceptable (according to the G-F's standards) state. Good luck. And Enjoy the flik, I'm soooo glad Pearce Brosnan is no longer Bond, now I can actually watch the movie.

It's a snow day in North America. Three day weekend, yah!
No way I can get there in time ;)

Awesome blog, by the way. Since you liked the Bond trailer music (which I'm downloading now), I'll mention that I loved the stringed version of the Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter in the trailer for Children of Men. Awesome movie that was, too. But, judging by your blog content, you probably know that already.

I heralded the launch of Digital Cinema last night here in Jo'Burg, and that is something to behold!

Hey Durbanites, other South Africans and Internationals, thanks for all your comments.

Ugh, I could so do with a public holiday, or 3-day weekend (Wasp, you're so lucky;)) to help me get through to the Christmas break. Such a pity the Day of Reconciliation public holiday falls on a Saturday this year.

And Brian, no, I didn't hear the Children of Men trailer music - probably because I didn't see the trailer ;). I'll have a look around for it, though. It sounds fantastic. I love movie scores and soundtracks.
