Sometimes we forget exactly why William Shakespeare is celebrated to this very day.

This poster/display board, that I found at the Globe Theatre, does an excellent job of reminding us just how influential this poet and playwright really was... and remains. His work truly revolutionised the English language.

If you ever get a chance and haven't done so yet, read the Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson for some more in depth analysis of Shakespeare's contributions to the language as a whole.
