Today, South Africa
There are 2 high profile movie releases in South Africa today.
First up is the X-Files movie sequel, X-Files: I Want to Believe. It should probably be re-titled X-Files: I Want to Care because frankly no one, apart from a hardcore collective of fans, seems to have any interest in this standalone tale that has Mulder and Scully reteaming to solve the mysterious disappearance of several women.
For the record the film has scored a very underwhelming 32% over at Rotten Tomatoes.
Not scoring much better is Adam Sandler's new comedy, You Don't Mess With the Zohan, with a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 34%. Still, though, I'd rather see this seemingly lighthearted, if very crass, romp, which has a top Israeli secret service operative faking his death so he can achieve his dream of becoming a hair stylist in New York City. Seriously.
