Trailer Tuesday: Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story

From Judd Apatow, the writer of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Knocked Up and Superbad comes Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, a comedy spoof of serious musician biographies like Walk the Line.

Talladega Night's John C. Reilly stars as the title character, a gifted, ambitious but rather simple-minded musician who rises to rock 'n roll stardom in the 1960s. In the course of his up-and-down career he develops and beats every drug addiction known to man, sleeps with 400+ women, fathers 22 children and crosses paths with 20th Century music icons like Elvis and the Beatles.

Although Walk Hard hardly made a blip at the North American box office over Christmas , it's scored a very solid 74% Fresh at Rotten Tomatoes. The film's ensemble cast also includes cameo appearances by the likes of Jack Black, Frankie Muniz, Jonah Hill and Paul Rudd as well as assorted real-life music stars.

I have a soft spot for both musical bio flicks and spoof movies so I'm definitely looking forward to what sounds like 90 minutes of lighthearted, silly entertainment.
