Girlz 'N' Games webcomic #68: Don't try this at home!

Well, depending on your favourite category of pop culture geekery, you can choose to view this new Girlz 'N' Games comic as referring to the new movie, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (based, of course on the 2003 video game), or, alternatively, the new non movie tie-in game Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.

It was kind of inevitable that a Prince of Persia-themed GNG comic was on the way. If you've been reading this strip for a while now, you'll know that over the past *gulp* 6 years I've drawn more POP comics than even World of WarCraft ones. The "reimagined" Prince of Persia games released from 2003 - 2005, with their heavy emphasis on acrobatics to survive combats, avoid booby-traps and solve puzzles, are amongst my favourite game titles of all time.

In Girlz 'N' Games #68, I simply took POP's trademark wall running and back flips - as well as a line or so from the new fantasy-adventure film - and merged them with geeky bedroom shenanigans that go horribly, horribly wrong as a result. It's amazing the damage a lot of wine and little overconfidence can do...

And it's not every day you get to Google image search "Jake Gyllenhaal" and "broken nose" at the same time.

As a side note, when it comes to geeky bedroom role-playing, I don't think anything has ever topped this highly amusing 25 second clip from Family Guy. Enjoy the SFW goodness!

As usual, if you like my latest Girlz 'N' Games comic, please forward it on to your like-minded friends. You can also show your support by joining the Girlz 'N' Games Facebook fan group, which is open to all. The big advantage of joining is that you'll immediately receive an email notification every time a new comic is uploaded.

If this doesn't suit you, you can also follow me on Twitter - I tend to tweet when a comic is in production, as well as provide a heads up when it's about to debut online.

Hey there Pfangirl! I stumbled upon your blog and had a look round, we have a weirdly large amount in common! I'm nerdy about films and games especially! I love things like Indiana Jones, gaming, superheroes, True blood. I am currently reading Dead as a doornail by Charlaine Harris. I can't really draw too well, I'm a Graphic Designer from England. In case you havent heard of them I have to recommendations for you, 1. Primal on ps2, its a brilliant game! 2. Clash of the titans, the remake that just came out, it kicks ass!
